Tiles Decorating Project – A Meaningful Experience for our Children and Youth

Reconciliation Canada aims to create dialogue between Aboriginal People and all Canadians that shares the truth of our shared history.  Through the Tiles Decorating Project, we are able bring the voice of children to our work and remind ourselves that we are committing to a New Way Forward that allows all of our children to reach their full potential.

Nearly 35,000 tiles have now been submitted by school-aged children across the province!  These tiles will be gifted to the participants of the Walk in order to recognize their commitment towards reconciliation and a New Way Forward.  Do you, or someone you know, run an educational program for children/youth? Inquire now about getting involved with this project –

Be a part of history.

It’s happening here.

It’s happening now.

For all people in Canada, the benefits of a social movement that bridges generations and cultures for a new way forward are profound and lasting. We’re talking about peace and a shared understanding.

This is just the beginning. Let’s create something powerful.

Working with S.U.C.C.E.S.S.

Reconciliation Canada is proud to be working with local organizations to bring about awareness to the reconciliation process in diverse communities.  We are happy to have participated in the 28th annual S.U.C.E.S.S Walk with the Dragon event this year.

Dialogue Workshops

Since September 2012, Reconciliation Canada has been conducting Reconciliation Dialogue Workshops across the province that create a safe place to engage Canadians in dialogue that revitalizes relationships, increases understanding of our shared history, and explores reconciliation.  Those who have participated can speak to the powerful experience of coming together for dialogue, understanding and planning for our future.  We are excited about our upcoming sessions that include:  Suzuki Elders - August 22 & 23, half day sessions with staff of Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada - Aug 26-29th and UBC Faculty September 3 & 4th.  Find out how to bring a Dialogue Workshop to your community - contact
