Embracing Peace
There's peace within, it's always there. You just have to be silent enough to touch it, feel it, and allow it to overcome your mind and body.
Peace is being present in the moment. Not thinking of the past or future but allowing yourself to be here now. The past is gone and the future hasn't happened. It's time to find peace in your life and embrace it, NOW.
How, you ask, do I find peace? There's so much noise and chaos in everyday life. Between the news, social media and politics there's fear and negativity coming at us from all directions. We take on this negativity, but it's not who we really are.
Peace will not be found in the outer world, and that is why we must look within.
Meditation is the key to Peace.
Take a moment to close your eyes, take a deep breath, and feel yourself in your body. The breath is your life and your peace. Focus on the breath as it flows throughout your body giving you life. Allow your thoughts to drift away and surrender to your breath.
Breathing out the fear and chaos of the outer world and breathing in total peace and relaxation. Sit for 5 minutes in this peace everyday and then maybe longer. The more frequent you meditate, the more results you'll see in your life. It's a practice, you must be consistent.
Put meditation as #1 on your to-do list and notice how your day unfolds peacefully, with more focus and clarity. You'll feel calmer and your reactions won't be as intense. Just as the breath flows peacefully through your body, your outer world will start to flow more peacefully.
Use this affirmation to stay centered:
I am peace, and this peace overflows into my world now.
