LegCo Information Technology Constituency Election Forum (29 August)

To create a platform for IT voters to understand more about the candidates’ view for the upcoming LEGCO Election IT Functional Constituency, the Hong Kong Information Technology Federation (HKITF), Hong Kong Wireless Technology Industry Association (WTIA) and Professional Information Security Association (PISA) are going to organize an Election Forum. The details are as follows:

Focus Group Discussion on Drawing up a Talent List

HKSAR Government is studying the feasibility of drawing up a talent list to attract, in a more effective and focused manner, high-quality talent to support Hong Kong’s development as a diversified and high value-added economy. To gather views of professionals in wireless technology industry, WTIA is invited to meet the consultant and conduct a focus group discussion on this topic.


Acting as the platform, aggregator and community in the industry, WTIA would like to invite our members to join the focus group discussion. The meeting is tentatively scheduled to be held on September and will be last for about an hour. For members who are interested to join, please contact us by email.

Public Awareness Seminar on WiFi Security 2016 (13 August)

360 Big Data & Marketing Trends Congress (18 August)

The Seminar concluded in 13 August with internet security experts shared tips about WiFi safety, demonstrated how hackers retrieve data from smartphone. The result of Hong Kong WiFi Security Survey this year was presented in the Seminar and it shows that the security of WiFi in HK are satisfactory in general.
