Special Feature

WTIA is calling for donations of old gadgets!

Got gadgets and devices that are just gathering dust but you don't feel like throwing away? Maybe you can consider donating it to us! 


WTIA is now asking for donations of old gizmos. All the collected gadgets will be exhibited in Mobility Experience Centre (MEC) credited to you! Our centre is located at Cyberport and will be part of an exhibit demonstrating the development of tech products over time. To acknowledge your generous donation, we will include name of the donors in the exhibition area. 


We are now collecting the following:

  • Old laptops and desktop computers, typewriters 
  • Portable music players, including Walkman, iPods, etc...
  • Personal digital assistants (PDA) 
  • Handheld or home game consoles, e.g. Gameboy and PlayStation series 
  • Any other remarkable gadgets 

If you would like to donate your gadgets to us, please drop us an email to contact@hkwtia.org. For details of MEC, please visit wtiahk.org/mobility-experience-centre-mec/. Thank you for your support in advance!

Co-organized with GS1 Hong Kong and Hong Kong Information Technology Federation (HKITF), the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2017 Joint Prize Presentation Ceremony was held to celebrate with the winners of Best Mobile Apps Award, Best Lifestyle Award and Best Smart Hong Kong Award. Tech Idiots Unite! (21 April)

A WTIA Pavilion was set up during ICT Expo 2017 to showcase the latest products and solutions made by our members.

Tech Idiots united at CityU for our first seminar of the series. Hope that the Seminar brought significant insights on how non-tech professionals can pursue a career in tech companies/tech industry, free resources to learn tech skills and coding, and also the skill-sets and attitudes that will help people to become a paramount professional in the tech industry.
