Lincoln Electric Welding Safety: Video Series

When sufficient safety measures in arc welding are overlooked, welders can encounter dangers such as electric shock, overexposure to fumes and gases, arc radiation, and fire and explosion. Lincoln Electric offers a series of videos that show both mandatory safety practices and those based on shop experience when dealing with arc welding.

MagSwitch Technology

Magswitch is an industry leader in advanced permanent magnet technology. Their patented technology has taken magnetic steel handling industries by storm. It has been applied throughout the industrial workforce to solve challenging problems, increase efficiency, and lower production costs.

How do Magswitch lifting magnets work?  Magswitch uses two diametrically polarized magnets, with one rotating on top of the other. By rotating the top magnet 180 degrees, the magnetic poles of both magnets are aligned to generate a powerful magnetic field. When rotated back 180 degrees, the magnetic poles are counter-aligned, collapsing the magnetic field within the magnet material creating a complete ON/OFF permanent magnet.

Magswitch has patented a method to control field depth of a magnet system with its Array technology. This technology allows for thin sheet metal to be un-stacked from a pallet without grabbing the sheets below. It is replacing vacuum cups in the automation industry today.

Dale Oxygen is a certified distributor for Magswitch.
