Social Leadership

Today's CEOs need to know how to spark and fan a social movement. Even so there are core groups they need to pay special attention to: their board, valued partners and of course, their senior leadership team. The name of the game today is not programs, it is movements... social activity that catches fire and moves toward a common goal.

It's a different way of getting things done. It used to be that leaders focused on "programs" where they could control all aspects of execution and guarantee results. These days it's not only riskier, it's harder. You can't tell people what to do. You have to evoke their commitment. If they don't see your goals as something that is important, they won't work toward it.

There's real magic in learning how to frame impact so it's compelling to others. But, when it's done right you can create almost unstoppable force.

By selecting leaders and activists with unique roles, savvy leaders can create systemic impact and tackle problems that were previously unsolvable. Imagine having government, the private sector, NGOs and activists working together on change. It's a great way to get things done.

Putting together all of the pieces of the puzzle is challenging but worth it. Great visionaries know how to build these complex alliances and create significant impact.
Synergy is what happens when one plus one equals ten or a hundred or even a thousand!
